Significance:

The history of the corno dates back to the year 3500B.C.

The figure of the corno is associated with the horn of the bull, which represents strength. In traditional Italian culture, people believe that corno is an object of good luck, used to prevent bad luck and the evil eye. If people do not have a corno they use their hand to create the figure of bull horns, so as to prevent them from any negative influences that people wish to impart on them.
